Culture Cards

I created Culture Cards to celebrate our culturally diverse world through a multicultural and educational card deck. The packaging design incorporates flags from every country around the edges. The front features the logo alongside character cards from each suit, while the back displays the card reverse and supporting information.

I illustrated the character cards, each holding a flag representing their country, with their nationality clearly displayed. The Jokers are both culturally and gender diverse, also holding flags that reflect their origins.

The number cards feature patterned pips, transforming traditional symbols into decorative, culturally inspired designs. I used an ornate font for the logo and packaging to reinforce the global, cultural theme.

The card backs showcase the flags of every country in the world surrounding a central world illustration. This works alongside the included Country Cards and Flag Finder, allowing users to learn country names and locations interactively.

The first card in the pack features the message “Celebrate Our Culturally Diverse World”, reinforcing the purpose of the project, with the Flag Finder grid on the reverse.

The pack also includes four double-sided cards displaying all 197 country flags in alphabetical order. Each flag is paired with coordinates that correspond to the Flag Finder, helping users locate each country on the card backs.
