BAG CADDY

The Bag Caddy is an eco-focused product made from recyclable plastic, designed to hold compostable caddy bags, litter bags, and Fest Bags™ all produced from corn.

I created a brand identity that reflects the product’s sustainable ethos. The logo takes on an organic form, drawing inspiration from the widely recognised compostable symbol (two leaves), while the enclosing shape mirrors the physical form of the caddy itself creating a strong visual link between product and brand.

Brand & Product Design

The bag designs feature bold graphic leaves combined with footprint motifs, where the leaves replace the toes visually reinforcing the environmental message. Messaging such as “Help reduce your carbon footprint” and “I’m 100% compostable please reuse me as a food caddy bag” communicates the product’s purpose clearly.

On the reverse, I illustrated the Bag Caddy lifecycle, to use, reuse, and compost, ending with a zero waste outcome, helping educate users on the full sustainability journey.

Packaging for the liners was designed in a slim, tissue-box format, allowing bags to be pulled from the top. Corn illustrations were incorporated to emphasise the plant-based material.

Extended Range

I expanded the concept into additional product lines to demonstrate scalability and commercial potential:

Fest Bags™
Designed for festivals to help reduce littering, with a vibrant neon green identity incorporating a microphone and musical notes. The design features the slogan “Be GREEN, keep your festival clean”, with space on the reverse for festival branding encouraging partnerships and co-branding opportunities.

Litter Bags™
Created to address everyday littering, particularly in public spaces. The logo references the familiar Tidyman symbol, using the letter “i” as a figure disposing of waste. The message “Bag it and bin it—or take your rubbish with you” encourages responsible behaviour, especially in areas where bins are full. The reverse is intentionally left blank for local councils to add their branding.

Digital & Visual Content

In addition to the physical product range, I designed and built the website and created a two-minute video demonstrating how the product works.

I also produced a series of eight illustrations showing the product lifecycle and usage scenarios, using a minimal, natural colour palette of green and cream to reinforce the eco positioning.

To bring the concept to life visually, I created product renders set within a cornfield environment highlighting the material origin and sustainability story.
